So this past weekend, I went on a few little adventures of my own! First, I went on a little hike with Gracie girl. She loves to hike to the water tower. I asked her if Buddha could come and she approved.
We hiked all the way to the water tower. Believe me, its a hike! I decided her unofficial nickname will be Hikey McHikerson.
On Saturday, I decided to do a little Mt. Biking. I found this little trial. didn't like it a whole lot, but it wasn't too bad.
On Sunday, I decided to go for a little hike with Buddha. As we were walking down the trail, I noticed a mailbox hanging on the tree. At first, I thought does someone live back here? As soon as I realized where I just came from and how far away I was from any road, I laughed at myself and decided to check it out. I was scared to open it, because I was just reading about brown recluse spiders and how they like to hide out in dry dark places that haven't been touched in a while. I looked at some of the infection pictures and was pretty paranoid and skeptical of opening it.
Buddha decided to be the brave one and open it for me. Inside, I found a memo book that had memos dating back several years of people that walked along the trail. After reading all of the fun little entries, I decided to leave my own. FLT stands for the Finger Lakes Trial. I guess its part of a larger trail system that is hundreds of miles long.
Buddha and I went Kayaking on Almond Lake, right near the FLT. This might be our close favorite new spot!
